Terry Beswarick

Before moving to Beaminster I lived in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Whilst there I worked for the BBC Transmitter Capital Projects Department. I project managed the building of all forms of terrestrial transmitting stations from UHF colour to medium wave transmitters. I also was responsible for system design and management of Outside Broadcast radio cars, SHF radio links and facilities to protect staff in the event of nuclear warfare.

I retired from the BBC in 1991. For 10 years I lectured at Colleges of Further Education in IT, Maths and Project Management. I am a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology.

I have now been a Councillor for a number of years and I hope that my past experience has been useful to the Council.
